The Red Star Line Museum is looking for photographs of Red Star Line passengers. Immortalise your ancestors and share your photographs with the Red Star Line Museum. The photographs will be granted a prominent position in the exhibition.

Antwerp was a particularly popular port of emigration among Jews from Central and Eastern Europe. These people constituted a sizeable proportion of the Red Star Line’s passengers. The shipping company recruited its “customers” from deep within Eastern Europe.

Fall 2012: update restoration
Restoration and construction nearing its completion
The provisional transfer of the building is scheduled for end 2012. In early January another contractor will set to work on the interior of the building. Finally, on February 1st, 2013, Montevideostraat and a section of Rijnkaai will be renovated.

The Red Star Line Museum celebrated the topping out of its tower by placing a tree on top of the roof of the museum’s observation tower.
