Red Star Line Museum - Uitzwaaien aan de Schelde Red Star Line Museum

Millions of people, one dream

On display

Photogallery Donors

    Saturday 23 September 2023 until Monday 1 April 2024 from 10:00 to 17:00

Donors tend to fade into the background behind the objects they have given to the museum. But to celebrate our anniversary, we are bringing them out into the limelight. Photographer Koen Broos has turned his camera on 10 of them: one for each year of the museum’s existence.

Exhibitions

Permanent collection

If these walls could talk, we would probably be surprised about the stories they could share. Two million passengers travelled to America on the Red Star Line ships. Explore the museum section by section.

Temporary exhibitions

The museum also holds temporary exhibitions in 'De Loods', which is the name of the old baggage shed of the Red Star Line shipping company.

Project

IrvingBerlin

Remember Berlin

A musical project

In 1893 Irving Berlin crossed the ocean to America on a Red Star Line boat. There he became one of the most influential composers of the 20th century. 130 years later, the Red Star Line Museum wants to provide a platform again and support young musicians in chasing their dreams.
